Overview:  In charge of guiding the company’s workflow strategy and organization of all essential business processes. Duties include reviewing the efficiency of current business functions, planning changes and updates to day-to-day operations and collaborating with other executive staff to set and meet business objectives.  This is a hands-on position with broad oversight over both manufacturing and project management.  A successful candidate should be prepared to learn about our successful family business and help to oversee key functions in operations, finance, production, and job execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with CEO and CFO in the development and execution of company strategy
  • Develop and implement SOP
  • Meet frequently with Project Managers, Estimators and Shop Foreman to discuss, review, and analyze production and best methods for achieving sales and operational objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies, procedures and business plans needed to enhance company growth
  • Preparing and presenting reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer
  • Participate in the development and execution of mid- and long-term plans, priorities, and goals
  • Support business development efforts and pursue and evaluate potential growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain strategic alliances and partnerships with key partners and customers
  • Regularly evaluate processes to drive improvement initiatives
  • Manage relationships at multiple levels and disciplines

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or any related discipline; MBA preferred
  • At least ten (10) years of direct, hands-on leadership experience in operational management
  • Wood/Milling industry experience a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting, operations, and legal agreements
  • Outgoing personality and enjoy working with people
  • Strong work ethic with high personal standards for quality of work
  • Strong communication, written and mathematical skills
  • Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
