-Responsible for assuring product quality by testing finished product and recording results. Responsible for reporting all deviations to management.
-Perform all assignments in accordance with established policies, procedures and best practices with specific adherence to SOPs, GMPs and food quality.
-Audit and monitor compliance to the GMP standards
-Be a resource to production team members on food safety, and quality issues.
-Maintain QA records as assigned
-Perform specified inspection procedures on product in production such as color, oxygen levels, date coding on product and cases, and proper packaging.
-Responsible for testing finished good samples from copackers and recording results.
-High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
-Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and other team members
-Ability to deal with problem solving in variable situations
-Must be able to work well with others and independently
-Basic computer skills
-Experience with GMPs, HACCP, food quality programs, and plant safety
-Quality Assurance experience a plus
Working hours 7pm-7am on a rotating shift working 3-4 days a week.
The shift is either 7:00am – 7:oopm always a Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the Wednesday is every other week. Another shift but we also have a 7:00pm – 7:00am same days. The rate for the day work is $17.00 the night work is $18.00.
